The Władze screen

Nerthus.Core (until cutover). This page describes the frozen system that runs today and is deleted at cutover. Replaced by: not yet written.

Władze answers one question: who held which office, and when. It is a register of facts built from the Rada's monthly sprawozdania, and it will show you the state on any day you name.

https://dev-astral.nerthus.pl/#/wladze

The screen is two panes over the same subject.

Pane Address What it is for
Rejestr #/wladze the register itself: what is recorded, and the state on a day
Sygnały #/wladze/sygnaly where the register and the narrator table disagree

Rejestr - the state on a day you name

Set Stan na dzień and the register answers as of that date rather than as of today. That is the whole point of it. "Who was Namiestnik in March" and "who is Namiestnik" are different questions, and a register that could only answer the second would be useless the first time somebody contested a decision.

The list at the top is what the register covers: one line per domain, with what kind of thing it records, how many people may hold it at once, how many transitions it has seen, and the first and last dates it knows about. A domain with two transitions and a last date in June is telling you something before you open it.

Under the state, Historia lists every transition in order: the date, what happened, and to whom.

Each entry carries the evidence it was built from - the sprawozdanie it came from, and the quoted sentence. Nothing here is a summary you have to trust. If a row says somebody took an office in May, the words that say so are on the screen.

A host with no works tree shows an empty register

The register is built out of the sprawozdania, and a host that does not hold them has nothing to build from. The pane says so in place of the table. That is a supported state, not a failure.

Czy piastował(a) tę funkcję tego dnia

Type a name and a date and the pane answers whether that person held the office that day. Give it the name - without one the question has no answer, and the pane says that rather than guessing.

Use it when a decision is being contested and the argument turns on who was in office at the time.

Sygnały - where the two sources disagree

Two things record who narrates: the narrator table in the lore repository, and the register built from the sprawozdania. Sygnały lists every place they differ.

Neither one wins. Every row carries both sides and both quotations, and nothing on this screen resolves the disagreement. A Narrator keeping the table and a Radny writing the monthly report are both authorities here, and which is right on a given row is a person's call, made with the two statements side by side.

The rows are grouped by what kind of disagreement they are:

Row says It means
Różnica stanu both sources have the person, and they say different things
Jedno konto, kilka podmiotów one account appears under several names in the register
Tylko tabela the narrator table has them, the register does not
Tylko rejestr the register has them, the narrator table does not
Bez złączenia the two sides cannot be matched to each other at all
Rejestr milczy the register does not model this kind of change

Kierunek i opóźnienie shows which source moved first and by how long. A reversal - the sprawozdanie ahead of the commit - is a case worth a look and not an error.

The comparison stops at the edge of what this host's copy of the lore repository actually holds. A date outside that range is refused rather than answered. A screen that reported months of silence that were really its own copy's age would be crying wolf, and somebody who dismisses a false alarm twice stops reading the third.
